Configuring "Write/Update" Settings

Follow these step-by-step instructions to configure which Jira/HubSpot fields should be accessible within the connection.

Step 1: Edit the Connection

1. Navigate to the HubSpot for Jira app settings.

2. Locate the existing connection and click on the pencil icon to edit it.

3. Navigate to the “Write/Update Permissions“ tab.

4. Select which user groups will have Write/Update permissions.

Step 2: Configure Jira Field Visibility (Shown in HubSpot)

1. Click on "Jira Fields Settings" to customize the Jira data editable in HubSpot.

2. Select the Jira project you want to configure.

3. Choose the issue type for which you want to define field visibility.

4. Select the necessary Jira fields that should be editable in HubSpot object cards.

5. Drag and drop the fields to adjust their order.

   • The order will determine how they appear in the HubSpot card and in the issue creation form within HubSpot.

Step 3: Configure Multiple Projects & Issue Types

1. Repeat Step 2 for each Jira project and issue type combination where you need to control field visibility.

2. This step ensures that all necessary Jira fields are available in HubSpot for different projects and issue types.

Step 4: Configure HubSpot Object Properties (Shown in Jira)

1. Click on the Object Type dropdown in the settings panel.

2. Select the HubSpot object properties that should be editable to Jira users.

3. Repeat this process for each HubSpot object type you need to configure.
