Email address scope request
This release adds a request for access to Atlassian user email addresses.
HubSpot for Jira identifies a HubSpot Contact by its Email property, which is the default unique property for that object type. To match a Jira user – a reporter, for example – to the right Contact, the app needs to read the email address associated with that Jira account. This release requests the permission required to do so.
A Jira administrator has to approve this update. When an app increases the permissions it requests, the update is not applied automatically. An administrator must review the new permission and approve it before the version is installed on your site.
What this affects
Matching Jira users to HubSpot Contacts on the Contact’s Email property, including automation rules that look up a Contact from a Jira field holding an email address.
Automation rules that match on a different property are unaffected. See Objects and Associations for how the app identifies each object type.
