Using Comments between Jira and monday.com

Jira users and monday.com users can communicate with one another internally by using the comments function. Each comment from a Jira issue is visible with the monday.com item linked to it.
From the monday.com item view, monday.com users can view the Jira issue and its comments and respond to it (these responses will be visible to Jira users as comments within their Jira issues).

  • Once a monday.com item has been successfully linked to a Jira issue, write the desired comments in the text field as indicated.

  • Click on “Save“ to publish the comment within the Jira issue.

  • Once the comment has been published in the Jira issue with the linked monday.com item, it should be available on the monday item as well.

  • From the monday.com instance, open the item that is linked to the Jira issue by clicking on it.

  • The linked Jira issue will be visible on the Jira for monday.com tab from the item view.

  • Click on the “Comment“ button to open comments.

  • Once the comment section is open, monday.com users can see comments on Jira issues and respond by writing and publishing their comments.
