Would you like to track Atlassian Confluence Cloud with Google Analytics? This plugin from Resolution GmbH provides you a simple 2-Step solution. Follow the guide below and give it a try!

Prerequisite: 

Existing Google Analytics tracking ID. How you can acquire this, depends on which version of Google Analytics you're using. 

Universal Analytics

In Universal Analytics / Google Analytics 3 properties, we require the "Tracking ID". It has the format UA-123456789-1. Click here to see how to create a tracking ID. You may also find this Youtube video  (first 5 mins) helpful when setting up your tracking ID for the first time. 

Google Analytics 4

In Google Analytics 4, we require a "Measurement ID" for a website data stream. It has the format G-1234565789. Follow the instructions here to see how to set up a property, create a website data stream and get your measurement ID.


Step 1. Install

Click Add-ons under Confluence Administration on the top right corner of your Confluence interface. Then, choose Find new add-ons and you will be taken to Atlassian Marketplace. Search for “Google Analytics” and click on Free Trial to install.  



Step 2. Enter your tracking ID from Google Analytics. 

That’s it! You can start to track and analyze your Confluence Cloud now.
