Using the Service Desk App on Main, Shareable, and Private Boards
The Service Desk App works across all three board types in monday.com: main, shareable, and private. However, access requirements for the Service User vary slightly depending on the board type.
Main and Shareable Boards
- No special permissions are required by default. 
- The Service User does not need to be invited to the board. 
- The app can create and update tickets as long as the board is accessible and there are no restricted columns. 
- If you use restricted columns, the Service User must be invited to the board and also be made a board owner. 
Private Boards
- The Service User must be explicitly invited to the board to function properly. 
- If the Service User is not invited, ticket creation and updates will fail and return an error. 
- If you use restricted columns, the Service User must also be made a board owner.
