Using the Service Desk App on Main, Shareable, and Private Boards
The Service Desk App works across all three board types in monday.com: main, shareable, and private. However, access requirements for the Service User vary slightly depending on the board type.
Main and Shareable Boards
No special permissions are required by default.
The Service User does not need to be invited to the board.
The app can create and update tickets as long as the board is accessible and there are no restricted columns.
If you use restricted columns, the Service User must be invited to the board and also be made a board owner.
Private Boards
The Service User must be explicitly invited to the board to function properly.
If the Service User is not invited, ticket creation and updates will fail and return an error.
If you use restricted columns, the Service User must also be made a board owner.
