NASA - Not Another Standup App provides meeting management for Agile teams in Jira, with configurable streams, Jira integration, and multiple meeting formats.

Meeting Templates

NASA includes 11 pre-configured templates for common agile ceremonies such as Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and One-on-One meetings. Each template sets appropriate questions, meeting type, and time allocations. Start with a template and adjust settings to match your team's workflow.

Stream-Based Workflow

Streams are the core organizational unit in NASA. Each stream represents a recurring meeting with its own participants, questions, schedule, and settings. Teams can run multiple streams simultaneously and switch between them using the stream dropdown in the sidebar.

Preparation Features

Before each meeting, participants prepare their updates in the My Update view. NASA suggests relevant Jira issues based on linked boards and user assignments. For Team Meetings, a Team Preview shows other participants' updates before the meeting starts. Items from previous meetings can be copied forward.

Live Meeting Features

Meetings begin in a lobby where participants confirm readiness. During the meeting, configurable timers track time per person (Standups) or per agenda topic (Team Meetings). Team Meetings support real-time item creation and editing by the Scrum Master and Coverer. Emoji reactions provide quick feedback without interrupting the speaker.

Integration Features

NASA connects to Jira boards for issue suggestions, issue creation, and status updates without leaving the app. Slack integration sends meeting reminders and outcome notifications. Meeting results can be exported to Confluence via the Team Journal.

Planning Poker

Team Meetings include built-in estimation using the Fibonacci sequence (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21). Any participant can initiate a vote on an issue, and the facilitator reveals results after a configurable timer. Estimation results are posted as NASA comments on the Jira issue.

Context Fields

Context Fields display additional Jira information (fix versions, components, custom fields) as badges next to issues during meetings. Each meeting type supports up to two configurable context fields. Text and number fields can be edited in real-time during the meeting.

Post-Meeting Automation

After meetings end, NASA can automatically notify participants via Slack, export meeting outcomes to Confluence, and track follow-up items. The Team Journal provides a searchable history of all past meetings.

Stream Management

• Duplicate Streams - Copy an existing stream's configuration to create a new stream with the same questions, settings, and integrations.

• Stream Privacy - Control stream visibility so only invited participants can see and access private streams.
