Duplicate Streams

Save time when creating new meeting streams by duplicating an existing stream's configuration. Instead of setting up each option from scratch, copy a proven setup and adjust only what differs.

Who Can Duplicate Streams

Only users with the Scrum Master or Coverer role on the source stream can duplicate it. Participants cannot duplicate streams. For details on roles, see User Roles & Permissions.

How to Duplicate a Stream

  1. Open the stream you want to duplicate.

  2. Click Settings in the sidebar.

  3. Click Duplicate Stream at the bottom of the Settings page.

  4. In the dialog, choose which optional elements to include (see below).

  5. Click Duplicate Stream to confirm.

The Duplicate Stream dialog lists what will be copied and lets you choose optional elements.

What Gets Copied

Always Copied

Every duplicate includes these elements from the original stream:

  • Stream name (prefixed with "Copy of")

  • Jira Board connection

  • Meeting questions and timing settings

  • Suggested Issues configuration

  • Context Fields

  • Meeting Settings (including meeting link, Team Update Preview toggle)

  • Stream logo

Optional Elements

The dialog offers three user-copy modes and an automation toggle:

Option

What It Does

Don't include users

Creates the stream with only you as Scrum Master. No other participants are copied.

Include users without their data source filters

Copies all participants and their roles, but not their personal Jira or Confluence filters.

Include users with their data source filters

Copies all participants, their roles, and their personal filters.

Include automation rules

Copies all post-meeting automation rules (webhook URLs and configuration) to the new stream.

You will be set as the Scrum Master of the duplicated stream, regardless of who held that role on the original.

What Is Not Copied

The duplicate is a new stream with its own history. The following are not transferred:

  • Meeting history and Team Journal entries

  • Prepared My Update items

  • Statistics (participation rate, goals met)

  • Notification timing (schedule resets to defaults)

After Duplication

Once the new stream is created, review and adjust these settings:

  1. Rename the stream (it defaults to "Copy of [Original Name]").

  2. Verify the Jira Board is correct for the new team or project.

  3. Add or remove participants in the Users tab.

  4. Adjust meeting questions or schedule in General and the Time & Date tab.

  5. Update the meeting link if using a different video call.
