Duplicate Streams
Save time when creating new meeting streams by duplicating an existing stream's configuration.
Overview
Stream duplication allows Scrum Masters and Coverers to create a new stream based on an existing one. This is useful when:
Setting up a similar workflow for a new team
Creating seasonal or project-specific streams
Replicating a proven meeting structure across multiple projects
Who Can Duplicate Streams
Only users with administrative roles can duplicate streams:
Scrum Master of the original stream
Coverer of the original stream
Regular participants cannot duplicate streams.
How to Duplicate a Stream
Navigate to the stream you want to duplicate
Open Settings
Click Duplicate Stream
In the duplication modal, configure your options (see below)
Click Duplicate
The new stream will be named "Copy of [Original Name]".
Duplication Options
When duplicating a stream, you can choose which elements to include:
Always Duplicated
These elements are always copied to the new stream:
Stream name (prefixed with "Copy of")
Jira Board connection
Meeting Questions and timing settings
Suggested Issues configuration
Context Fields
Meeting Settings
Stream Logo
Optional Elements
Choose whether to include these elements:
Option | Description |
|---|---|
Users without Filters | Copy all participants to the new stream |
Users with Filters | Copy participants along with their individual Jira issue filters |
Automations | Copy all configured automation rules to the new stream |
Note: The user who creates the duplicate becomes the Scrum Master of the new stream, regardless of the original stream's Scrum Master.
After Duplication
Once the stream is duplicated:
Review the stream name and update if needed
Verify the Jira Board connection is appropriate for the new team
Add or remove participants as needed
Adjust meeting questions or timing if required
Update the meeting link if you didn't copy it or need a different one

New Team with Similar Workflow
Duplicate an existing team's stream when onboarding a new team that will follow similar processes.
Project-Specific Streams
Create focused streams for specific projects by duplicating a template stream and adjusting the Jira filters.
Seasonal or Temporary Streams
Quickly set up temporary streams for sprints, quarters, or special projects.
