Live Meeting Features

NASA provides tools to make the live meeting experience efficient and productive.

Timer Functionality

  • Standup Timer Options:

    • Time per user (e.g., 2 minutes each)

    • Total meeting time (e.g., 15 minutes divided equally)

  • Team Meeting Timer Options:

    • Time per agenda topic

    • Adjustable during the meeting

  • Benefits: Keeps meetings on track and ensures equal participation

Follow-up Flagging

  • Purpose: Mark items needing further discussion outside the meeting

  • How It Works:

    • Click the flag icon next to any item during the meeting

    • Flagged items appear in the Follow-up tab

    • All flags are preserved in the Team Journal

  • Benefits: Allows the team to acknowledge issues without derailing the meeting

Emoji Reactions

  • Purpose: Provide quick, non-disruptive feedback during meetings

  • Available Reactions: Thumbs up, question, celebration, etc.

  • Benefits: Enables acknowledgment without interrupting the flow

Live Item Creation (Team Meetings)

  • Purpose: Add new items during Team Meetings as topics arise

  • Available To: Scrum Master and Coverers

  • Types: Jira issues, text items, headlines

  • Benefits: Accommodates emerging topics without losing context

Non-Joiner Loading (Team Meetings)

When team members are absent from a live Team Meeting, their preparation work doesn't have to be lost. Scrum Masters and Coverers can load non-joiners' My Update items directly into the active meeting session.

This is useful when:

  • A participant prepared their update but couldn't attend the meeting

  • The team needs to review an absent member's items without waiting for the next session

  • A participant joins late and their items need to be added to the current discussion

Availability: Team Meetings only (not available in Standups)
Required role: Scrum Master or Coverer
