Important Update Effective February 1, 2024!
Due to recent changes in Jira and Confluence, we've made the tough decision to discontinue the OpenID Connect (OIDC)/OAuth app and no longer provide new versions for the newest Jira/Confluence releases as of January 31, 2024.
This is due to some necessary components no longer shipping with Jira/Confluence, which would require some extensive rewrites of the OIDC App.

SAML Plugin Overview
SAML Single Sign On (SSO) for Atlassian Data Center and Server
SAML Single Sign On (SSO) for Jira, Jira Service Management (formerly known as Jira Service Desk), Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo and FisheyeCrucible delegates authentication to a SAML 2.0 Identity Provider (IdP) of your choice. SAML SSO is compatible with most IdPs, and available for both Server and Data Center on-premise installations of the Atlassian products.
SAML SSO manages the exchange between your Service- and Identity Provider, so you don't have to spend your time typing in passwords and updating user accounts.
Creating user accounts for new team members can be very time consuming. Our plugin is an easy and straightforward solution for provisioning users:
Just-In-Time user provisioning with SAML. Create users upon their first login by only providing a name and an email address.
User Sync provisioning via REST. Synchronize Atlassian directories with your cloud Identity Provider and create, update or deactivate users before they even login.
- Specifically, multiple alternatives for Automatic User Deactivation are possible through the User Sync module: dropping users during a synchronization, removing the group membership that provides application access, or configuring a connector to proactively disable inactive users are some of the options.
Let SAML SSO do the authentication and user management for you, so you can focus on your own work!
