Important Update Effective February 1, 2024!
Due to recent changes in Jira and Confluence, we've made the tough decision to discontinue the OpenID Connect (OIDC)/OAuth app and no longer provide new versions for the newest Jira/Confluence releases as of January 31, 2024.
This is due to some necessary components no longer shipping with Jira/Confluence, which would require some extensive rewrites of the OIDC App.

Do I need a SAML SSO license for every of my Atlassian Application?
Question
I have multiple Atlassian Applications (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and would like to use your SAML Plugin on each one of them. Do I have to purchase a plugin license for every one of my Applications?
Answer
In short: Yes.
The way that Atlassian's Marketplace licensing works is that you essentially need a separate plugin license for every Atlassian host system. Generally, these licenses have to match (or exceed) the base User license of the Atlassian Application and are based on the same User tier steps (or remote Agents on Bamboo).
We sell our Plugin exclusively via the Atlassian Marketplace, which makes the purchase process very simple, in line with how you purchase your Atlassian Applications. But it also means we have to adopt the exact licensing scheme that Atlassian prescribes for all Plugins.
