Due to recent changes in Jira and Confluence, we've made the tough decision to discontinue the OpenID Connect (OIDC)/OAuth app and no longer provide new versions for the newest Jira/Confluence releases as of January 31, 2024.
This is due to some necessary components no longer shipping with Jira/Confluence, which would require some extensive rewrites of the OIDC App.

Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD): enable synchronization of additional group types
Since User Sync 1.4.1 for Atlassian Data Center and Server, it's possible to select which types of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) groups should be synchronized. This can be changed in the advanced section of your Azure AD connector configuration.
Warning
Before enabling additional group type sync, make sure that only authorized users can create such groups in your Microsoft Entra ID Directory. Please understand that we cannot give any configuration recommendations! Please check the Microsoft documentation for further details:

By default, the synchronization of these group types is enabled:
- Security Groups
- Mail-Enabled Security Groups
- Office 365 Groups (Security-Enabled)
Additionally, it's possible to synchronize these group types:
- Office 365 Groups (Non-Security-Enabled)
- Distribution Groups
